![]() ![]() What the hell, they email asking customers to schedule a session by opening a support ticket, then reply to the support ticket to tell customers, international customers, to call them, at their timing and convenience, to solve a problem they created. Guess what, I followed the instructions to open a support ticket, they get back to me days later to give me their phone number to call, during their working hours. Finally, 2 weeks ago, they said they had a temporary fix that requires remote access, customers who needs it can just open a support ticket to schedule a session. The latest incident is the final straw, files are stuck in upload queue on the desktop app, they have been unable to fix it for months, keep emailing updates asking customers to change/edit their stuck files in order for it to upload, which is RIDICULOUS and totally defeats the purpose of having backups. I am one of their earliest customer from the earliest price tiers, that is how long I've been a customer, recently, especially the past 12 months, it's been nothing but trouble. I wrote HELLO, hoping someone was there, well I was No 1 in line right? I waited.I waited After one hour I gave up I really wish your service worked as its competitively priced but sadly its simply not for for purpose The customer who had ordered some digital goods demanded a refund as they couldn't download, so I had to return their £75 and loose the sale Still I waited. I got an automatic message saying sorry all our agents are on other messages but we will be with you real soon, you are No1 in line. I have lost many sales due to customers not being able to download after purchasing it's shocking, I have to apologise and refund them All due to SugerShite - DON'T BOTHER Thanks for the note on here SugerSync, I tried to communicate with you when your server was down yet again, I hit the online chat now button as was told I was No1 in the line and an agent will be with me shortly. THE WORST CLOUD SERVICE EVER If you want to loose money, files and folders, and also loose customers as they cannot download files etc, then this is for you. Anyway, after having used their service for years now I would recommend Sugarsync as an easy and versatile solution to backup and sync your files to the cloud. Not unthinkable these days.And most competitors do offfer 2FA. One of my worries is my password getting hacked and someone getting access to my files. One suggestion for improvement is that Sugarsync should upgrade its security by offering 2FA as an option to log in. Even though Sugarsync is less well know compared to bigger players like Dropbox or Google Drive it has proven to be a reliable partner with hardly any trouble to reach my data. Multiple versions are saved and there is also the option to protect a folder even further by allowing you to roll back a full year. On all of my computers I now have an identical documents folder making it easy to access my files anywhere I am. With Sugarsync I can just choose a folder and all of its contents will be synced and backed up to the cloud. Their process of canceling your account is illogical, they don't provide you a phone number on their website to call anyone to cancel, and if you do email them to request to cancel, make sure that you verify and respond because they will not honor your request unless you do. Luis kept telling me that there's nothing he could do about the 2018 charges and it was only after much discussion that he agreed to cancel my account and submit a request for a refund. I told him that nowhere in the email body that they said I needed to verify anything before they would cancel my account. I spoke to Luis, their rep, to ask him why my account is still open and why I am still being charged, and his response/"explanation" is this - that I needed to verify that I want to cancel my account because it says so in the subject line of his email. Worst experience dealing with customer service! This company has been charging me over a two-year period after I have requested them via email to please cancel my account. Ridiculous cancelation policy, bad customer "service" ![]()
